Telemarketing bond cost
The Texas Secretary of State’s Registration Unit requires those involved in the sale of merchandise or services through the use of phones and automatic telephoning systems to post $10,000 surety bonds.
These bonds are subject to underwriting, so the price you’ll pay for your bond depends on a review of your personal credit report. Qualified applicants could pay as low as 1% of the bond amount, or just $100. Bad credit? Don’t worry! Our experts can get you the bond you need quickly, easily and for the lowest rate possible.
Why this bond
Texas telephone solicitation bonds exist to ensure that principals (telephone solicitors) conduct business according to the provisions of Section 302.001 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code. Illegal acts according to this code include the telemarketer failing to identify himself/herself along with the business he/she works for and his/her reason for calling and calling before 12 p.m. or after 9 p.m. on Sundays and between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays.
The bond protects any person who is injured by a violation of this act from financial loss up to the full amount of the bond ($10,000).
