Why this bond
By posting a Department of Transportation bond in Pennsylvania, principals (haulers) pledge to promptly make payments of all statutory and regulatory fees, costs and expenses owed to the state as required by Title 67 PA Code – Chapter 179, and Chapter 19, Subchapter C of the Vehicle Code and all applicable supplements and amendments.
If the principal fails to comply with these terms, the bond protects harmed parties from financial loss up to the full amount of the bond and other expenses listed on the bond form. The principal must reimburse the surety for all sums paid out.
