Alaska paid solicitor bonds ensure that principals (paid solicitors) perform all obligations and requirements imposed under AS 45.68 and 9 AAC 12, including paying all amounts due to the charitable solicitations for which it solicits funds. The bond protects the state and charitable organizations from financial loss if the principal, its members, officers, employees, subsidiaries and subcontractors conduct unlawful or unethical business.
Paid solicitor for charitable organizations bonds in Alaska are continuous until canceled. If the surety decides to cancel this bond, 60 days of written notice prior to the cancellation date must be given to the Alaska Department of Law and to the principal.
